Deuteronomy 34:9, "Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him, doing just as the Lord had commanded Moses."
The spirit of wisdom was imparted to Joshua through the laying on of hands from Moses. Many people hold to the belief that the reason Moses laid hands on Joshua was in order for the children of Israel to accept him as their leader. That may be true, but I also believe there was an even more important reason that Moses laid hands on Joshua and it's enveloped in Moses imparting wisdom to him. Consider this, Moses walked with God and spoke to Him face to face that's validated a few verses later in verse 10 of that same chapter.
God used Moses to impart the Divine attributes and giftings that He instilled in him, so it could be transferred over to Joshua. How awesome is that? The Bible says that Moses carried mighty power. He walked in signs and wonders. It was his true spiritual persona. Every single one of us, who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as our Savior have also been given a spiritual persona. We have been instilled with supernatural gifts and callings from God.
Are you walking in those gifts and callings? Have you embraced your true identity or spiritual persona? Maybe some of you are thinking; "Tracy, what is the world are you talking about? What is a true persona? Okay, fair enough question. Here's what I mean by your true spiritual persona ... ready? Graham Cooke talks about this true persona, and basically in a nut shell ... it's your true identity of who God originally created you to be, before you were even conceived in your mother's womb ... God knew you. The Bible says in Jeremiah; "I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart ..."
The world has labeled us with a false persona or false identity. The world labels us ... but God wants to name us! We are called according to God's Divine purpose. God has called us by Name! We are the righteousness of God, we are redeemed, holy and sanctified, we are chosen, we are the apple of God's eye, we are the head and not the tail, we are above and not below, we are special as no one else has our DNA, we are worthy, we are blessed and we are CHOSEN to reign and rule with Christ. How's that sound ... for who you REALLY are?
The Bible says we have been imparted with a measure of faith. God has instilled that inside of us, but it's our choice as to whether or not we use it? Embrace those Divine impartations and be the real you! Take off that mask ... it's a label ... God has already named you!
